Community State Bank invited four Badger High School to an economic forum at Geneva National on March 18 featuring Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

Seniors Stephanie Besenhofer, Tanner Hagen, Sophia Merry and Andrew Ploch were guests of the bank because of their role in the MyLIFE financial literacy day held at Badger in December, which was sponsored by Community State Bank of Union Grove. The bank’s MyLIFE coordinators worked with the four students to create the event. Photos of the event were also included in the bank’s annual report, which was available for all.

In addition to Ryan, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos also spoke at the meeting. Both talked about local and national issues.

The Badger students were the only young people present at the event. Scott Huedepohl, president and chief executive officer of Community State Bank, recognized the group for the work they accomplished through MyLIFE.

Also in attendance were administrator, staff and faculty members Jan Eckola, Marie Collins and Beth Parish.
