Elkhorn Fund grant to help during COVID-19

Gifts will be matched up to $1,000 and go to the Education Foundation

The Elkhorn Fund is helping The Elkhorn Area School District Education Foundation further its efforts in supporting meal programming and food sharing during the Covid-19 pandemic by offering a dollar-for-dollar matching grant up to $1,000.

As a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, The Elkhorn Fund grant, in addition to matched community donations, will support the EASD’s meal program for anyone experiencing food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis.

The organizations invite the public to consider a charitable donation to help with effort during this critical time. All gifts will be matched 1:1 up to $1,000 and will go directly to the EASD Education Foundation to help those in need of food. Gifts can be made at classmunity.com/elkhornwi and then selecting the Education Foundation from the list.

Funds raised above the matching grant will go into the Education Foundation endowment to be used for future needs related to the school district. For more information, contact Jason Tadlock, EASD Education Foundation President and District Superintendent at 608-558-8401 or tadlja@elkhorn.k12.wi.us.

Community members in need of food assistance can access the school district’s breakfast and lunch programs by visiting any EASD distribution location listed on the website. To access the complete list of food delivery stops visit elkhorn.k12.wi.us, select COVID-19 Information and then under Food Service on the right, click on Bus Stops.
