The City of Elkhorn Plan Commission voted in favor of approving a site plan for a new industrial facility Thursday night that would house the combined operations of MaxPax and US Packaging under one roof in Elkhorn.

The company currently has its MaxPax plant in Walworth and its US Packaging plant in East Troy.

The $13 million, nearly 200,000-square-foot plant would be built off East Morrissey Drive on the southern end of Elkhorn, near the Highway 67 and Interstate 43 interchange. Mayor Brian Olson said this would make it the single largest industrial facility in Elkhorn.
