As a precautionary measure the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has requested Highway 120 remain closed at the location of the dam until further inspection of the spillway can be undertaken, Village of East Troy Administrator Eileen Suhm stated in an email Friday afternoon.
For inspection to occur, the impoundment level will need to be drawn down 3 feet below the normal level. At this time village officials anticipate the road will remain closed for at least another week.
