The community is invited to join in at the East Troy Middle School’s Color-A-Thon fundraiser at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8.
The fun, healthy event is a fundraiser where participants can walk, run, skip or cartwheel through a course where they get blasted by color dust.
Registration is $30 and includes a T-shirt and a color dye pack. To register go to shop.schoolathon.org/184199. Onsite registration begins at 9 a.m. at the middle school, 3143 Graydon Ave.
The color dust is safe, non-toxic and completely washable. It’s made of cornstarch and color dyes approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
“It’s a fun way to get our students outside, involve the community and have a blast while raising money,” event organizer Laura Hoffman said. “The money will be used to help fund field trips and activities at East Troy Middle School.”
