LD’s BBQ, 1880 Highway ES, East Troy, will host the third annual Avie-Fest, a celebration of community and life in memory of Avielle Richman, on Saturday, Sept. 26 from noon to 7 p.m.
LD’s owner Leon Davis created the annual fundraiser to honor the 26 victims from the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting where Avielle Richman lost her life. The event will feature live music and a rib-eating contest at 2:26 p.m.
There will also be a silent auction, pie auction and bake sale.
Proceeds will benefit the Avielle Foundation, which works to prevent violence through brain health research and community development.
