Homes needed for foreign exchange students

Nacel Open Door is looking for families to host foreign exchange students in the area.

Students from France and Spain are coming for a three-week stay this summer for two sessions – July 10 to 31 and July 31 to Aug. 21. They will also need accommodations.

Host families in fall are need for:

  • A 16-year-old girl from Spain. According to a press release, she is very involved in scouting, volunteering, environmental issues and community affairs. She loves sports such as baseball, biking, bowling, swimming, badminton and also enjoys theater, singing in choir and plays the guitar. She speaks good English, has money to pay all personal expenses, and would be happy with any family with or without children. She wants to be a doctor or a teacher.
  • A 16-year-old boy from Germany, for the fall. He will attend high school in the United States for one semester. The release stated he loves computers, movies, music, games, skiing, badminton, basketball, snowboarding, and much more. He will be in 11th grade, and is a good student. His English is very good and he wants to learn about America. He is interested in computer science or mechatronics. He is used to having younger siblings, and would be great in any family; he is very sociable.
