Families displaced fire

Three families were displaced following a fire in several walls and the attic of an apartment building at 111 N. Terrace St. in Delavan early in the morning Dec. 16. The Delavan Fire Department with assistance from the Town of Delavan and Darien responded to the blaze at roughly 12:30 a.m. and battled the fire for two hours, according to Fire Chief Tim O’Neill. He said the cause is still undetermined but residents reported having electrical issues earlier that night. Firefighters rescued a dog and the American Red Cross was called to assist with housing needs. (Jason Millard photo)
