July Fourth parade to go to Phoenix Park

The City of Delavan’s Fourth of July parade Friday will go to Phoenix Park in Delavan, not Veteran’s Park, where festivities have taken place in the past.

Last year’s Fourth of July information was inadvertently printed in this week’s Enterprise.

The fireworks and flag ceremony will take place at Veteran’s Park as usual.

The correct schedule of events is:

• 7 to 11 a.m. – pancake breakfast at the Delavan Fire Station, 811 Ann St;

• 8 to 10:30 a.m. – Carp-O-Rama by the Optimist Club on Lake Comus at North Terrace Street. The event is for 15-year-olds and older. Poles are available on a first-come, first-served basis;

• 10 a.m. – Canoe and kayak regatta at the Paul Lange Arboretum on Lake Comus, for all ages.

• noon to 2 p.m. – Mill Pond open;

• 3 p.m. – parade Sixth Street to Phoenix Park.

Activities at Phoenix Park:

• 4 to 7 p.m. – carnival;

• 4:30 p.m. – youth demonstrations by the Flying Dragons and Delavan Youth Cheer;

• 5 to 8 p.m. – live music by Cold Sweat and the Brew City Horns.

At Veteran’s Park:

• 9 p.m. – flag and bell ceremony;

• 9:30 – fireworks.
