Man allegedly had nearly half pound of heroin

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 10 for a Burlington man allegedly found with nearly half a pound of heroin and other drugs in East Troy.

Phillip J. Zadurski, 42, was charged Feb. 27 in Wal-worth County Circuit Court with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver narcot-ics, possession with intent to deliver psilocybin, two counts of possession with intent to deliver Schedule IV drugs and possession with intent to deliver marijuana, all second and subsequent offense; possession of co-caine as a repeater; and pos-session of drug parapherna-lia.

The amount of heroin in Zadurski’s possession – 184 grams, or two-fifth of a pound – makes the offense a Class C felony, punishable by up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police were called to the BP gas station on County Road ES in East Troy on Feb. 19 for a welfare check. When the officer arrived, he saw another officer drawing his weapon while facing a silver sedan. Officers removed the occupants of the car and found the following items on Zadurski’s person – 1.2 grams of cocaine, 1.7 grams of heroin, 25 oxycodone pills, 11 alprazolam pills, 18 clonazepam pills and $1,325 in cash. Oxycodone is a pre-scription painkiller and a Schedule II narcotic; and alprazolam and clonazepam are anti-anxiety medications and Schedule IV controlled substances.

In Zadurski’s vehicle po-lice found 184 grams of hero-in, 127 grams of marijuana, 112 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and several packages that contained six grams of marijuana each.

Zadurski was convicted in Milwaukee County in 2012 of possession of marijuana.
