Communities host Halloween festivities

Halloween activities will begin this weekend in the Town of Darien and continue in Delavan and Darien on Oct. 31.

 

City of Delavan

The City of Delavan will host trick or treating from 4 to 6 p.m. Halloween day, Oct. 31.

A parade from the Post Office, 335 E. Walworth Ave., to the American Legion will begin at 6:30 p.m.

A Spook House will start after the parade at the American Legion Hall, 111 S. Second St.

Residents should leave a front porch light on to be visited by trick-or-treaters.

Town of Delavan

The Town of Delavan will host trick-or-treating from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 27.

A Halloween party will follow at Community Park from 3 to 6 p.m.

The party will feature a magician, hayrides, face painting, a balloon artist, games and treats.

 

Town of Darien

The Town of Darien will have its trick or treating from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

Hayrides and a haunted trail will be offered Oct. 26 sponsored by Darien Emergency Medical Services, Darien Fire Department and Darien Family Connections.

The trail will be family-oriented from 4:30 to 6 p.m, and scary from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission will be $2.

Hayrides will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission will be $3 for adults and $2 for kids.    Hotdogs, chips and beverages will be available.

The Village of Darien will have trick-or-treating from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
