Brothers Peter Reshel and Chris Reshel recently opened a car dealership at 2919 Main St. in East Troy, Creekside Motors.

“We were born and raised in Mukwonago and my wife’s family was born and raised in East Troy, so we’ve always been around,” Peter said.

Peter married Katie Rhode (now Reshel) and they live in Elkhorn with their two children. Chris also lives in Elkhorn with his wife, Tina; they have one child.

“We wanted to open the dealership here because of the location, being right off the square and having all the room,” Peter said. “There’s no car lots in the area and the sense of community is so strong we knew a lot of people in the area to help us market the lot.”

This new dealership is going to be a great addition to the area for people to come and get a new car. This is a lucrative business to get into so hopefully, the brothers have already looked at how to compare motor trade insurance so they can successfully sell their cars and keep them safe and secure on the lot as they start their new venture up.

Chris Reshel, 41, began working in the automotive industry 18 years ago as a lube technician at Koeffler Chevrolet in Mukwonago and worked his way up to service writer and in 1999 joined the sales staff, Peter said. In 2001, Chris moved into the finance manager’s position at Tasch Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Elkhorn (now Kunes Country) and stayed there until October of this year.

“Chris has built many relationships in the auto industry that are proving to be beneficial today,” Peter said.

Peter Reshel, 33, began his career in the automotive industry in 2011 at Zingg Motors in Whitewater. He joined his brother at Kunes Chrysler in Elkhorn in 2013 and was promoted to sales and finance manager.

“This experience along with the dream to have our own family business is what got us to this point today,” Peter said.

Creekside Motors is open for business Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
