Six sex offenders arrested in ‘Operation Trick or Treat’

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Department arrested six sex offenders Oct. 28 and 31 during its fourth Operation Trick or Treat enforcement program.

Members of law enforcement and probation and parole agents went to the homes of 114 registered sex offenders on active supervision through the Department of Corrections who are living in Walworth County.

Six subjects on active supervision were found to be in violation of supervision and were immediately arrested and confined in the Walworth County Jail.  Two additional alleged violators now have warrants for their arrests, which will bring the total to eight violators.

Arrested were Richard L. Burge, 25, and Christopher McFadd, 26, of Lake Geneva; Brian Chapman, 28, of the Town of Geneva; James Esposito, 56, of the Town of Delavan; Christopher L Wegner, 29, of Delavan; and Zachary A Ruisch, 28, of the Town of Troy

Whitewater, Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, Town of Bloomfield and Village of Darien police assisted the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Team and probation and parole agents during the operation.
