Donald “Don” A. Pomplun, 84, of Whitewater, died on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1928, in Coloma, to Albert and Ella (Schubert) Pomplun.
He married Patricia Ebert on Dec. 4, 1948, in Plainfield. She preceded him in death on May 29, 2004.
He and his wife owned the Pleez-U Laundry in the 1960s and he later worked at the Hawthorne Melody Dairy in Whitewater.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was also a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas (Georgene) Pomplun of Mount Horeb, Steven (Marcia) Pomplun of Madison and Alan (LeeAnn) Pomplun of Milton; two daughters, Nancy (David) Cummings of Milton and Kristine (David) Doorn of West Chester, Penn.; five grandsons, Reed (Erin) Cummings, Alex and Devin Doorn and Evan and Nicholas Pomplun; one granddaughter, Lindsey (Joseph) DeBartelo; two great-grandsons, Cameron and David Cummings; one great-granddaughter, Danielle DeBartelo; one brother, Eldon (Eleanor) Pomplun of Waupun; and one nephew, Brian (Mary) Pomplun.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Michael Pomplun.
At Donald’s request, there will be no services.
