The Whippets tennis team had winners from No. 2 singles Cole Kinson, No. 3 singles and the No. 3 doubles duo of Broderick Frye and Weston Lema. However, it was not enough to get a team win against Jefferson.
“Austin Kaya and Cole Kinson both looked solid in their wins,” Whitewater coach Jordan Dittmer said. “Our No. 3 doubles also played well as they got a close win. Our team did a lot of good things, but there was also a lot of room for improvement. We will continue to work hard in practice to correct some of our mistakes and move forward. Overall, we played hard and lost some tough matches to a good school in close fashion.”
The Whippets lost in No. 1 singles, and No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to come up short of the team win.
