The Whitewater High School varsity gymnastics team had a difficult time with Waterford last week, falling ultimately 130.075-105.675.
The junior varsity squad faced a similar fate, falling 104.8-75.95.
On the varsity level, the Whippets gained one top three showing in any pure event, and that was by Kelly O’Hara, who won the floor exercise by a sizeable margin.
Other than O’Hara’s showing, it was a clean sweep for Waterford, who took all three top spots in all other areas, including second and third in the floor routine.
While disappointing, the loss is a minor blip for the Whippets gymnastics crew who look to build off of last year’s successes going forward.
