The Whitewater High School Golf team had a decent day on the links at the Conference Alpine Tournament, which featured the entire Rock Valley North slate. Five golfers from each team competed, in which the lowest score was dropped to eliminate a singular bad round.
Whitewater ended up dropping the worst score of the day, a 66, which was about 10 strokes higher than the average score dropped from the other five squads. When all was said and done, the Whippets ended up with a 214 total score (53.5 average on a par 36 course), which was good for fifth place, beating Evansville by 8 strokes. Gage Gilbert paced the Whippets with a 50.
The best round of the day went to Drew Pipik, who shot an under par 35, the only shooter under 40 on the day. Edgerton easily won the tournament by 24 over both East Troy and McFarland. None of the Edgerton golfers shot over a 46, every other team at least had two golfers over 50.
