Sweet smiles of victory

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawk women competed in the NCAA Division III Championship final four in Stevens Point last weekend. They lost their first game on Friday night to Whitman College, 85-70, but came back to win the third place, consolation game against Tufts, 72-54, on Saturday night. Senior Mary Merg led the Warhawks in the Tufts game, scoring 30 points and becoming Whitewater’s all-time leading scorer with 1,378 points.
