The Big Foot-Williams Bay girls soccer team is rolling into the sectional round of the WIAA Division 3 playoffs.

Big Foot knocked off two regional opponents last week to run its current winning streak to seven straight and improve to 12-3-1 overall.

The Chiefs, who drew the No. 2 seed, opened the regional with a 4-1 victory last Thursday over No. 7 Jefferson, followed by a 4-2 win over third-seeded Cambridge-Deerfield in the regional final on Saturday.

In the matchup against Jefferson, the Chiefs were tied at 1-1 after an unassisted goal by Morgan Grunow at the 18-minute mark of the first half.

From there, Big Foot rolled with three unanswered goals.

Grunow started things with a score off an assist by Hunter Devoy at the 46-minute mark to break the deadlock, followed by insurance goals by Morgan Courier (unassisted) and Sara Canache (Courier assist).

Payton Courier had four saves for Big Foot.

The regional final also was deadlocked at the intermission, this time at 2-2. Devoy and Morgan Courier scored at the 22:11 and 34:10 marks, respectively.

Abby Peterson gave the Chiefs the lead for good just a little more than three minutes into the second half, followed by an insurance goal by Grunow to ice the victory.

Enna Peterson collected seven saves for Big Foot.
