The Big Foot-Williams Bay girls soccer team is rolling a bit as the post-season approaches.

Big Foot won both of its matches last week with victories of 5-3 over Delavan-Darien and 6-2 over Edgerton.

The Chiefs took a 13-5 overall record and an 11-4 mark into their regular-season finale Thursday against visiting East Troy. Big Foot opens WIAA tournament play June 4.

Big Foot led Edgerton 6-1 at halftime and never looked back. Morgan Grunow had two first-half goals, while Penny Brooks, Rachel Heidenreich, Payton Courier and Taylor Romani all had one.

Collecting assists were Heidenreich with two and Annalise Floody with one. Goalie Enna Peterson finished with three saves.

Delavan scored two quick goals late in the second half May 22 before the Chiefs iced the win with a goal of their own by Grunow in the final minutes.

Heidenreich, who had the assist on Grunow’s goal, put the Chiefs ahead with a score just 15 seconds into the match off an assist by Brooks. After Delavan tied the match, Floody and Grunow connected on a goal, followed by another from Heidenreich to build the lead to 3-1 at halftime.

Morgan Courier took an assist from Maureen Hammett and scored at the 57-minute mark to give the Chiefs a 4-1 lead before Delavan’s two goals cut the deficit to just one.

Peterson finished the match with five saves for Big Foot.
