Golfers fall in home dual

Ben Bauer shot a round of 42, but it wasn’t enough for the Big Foot boys golf team in a 168-191 non-conference dual meet loss Monday to visiting Burlington.

Steven Wolski and Quintin Sharpe each shot 49s, followed by Lars Larsen with a 51 and Braydn Lentz with a 59.

Big Foot opened play last week with a third-place finish at an RVC mini-meet April 30 at the Decatur Lakes Golf Course.

Clinton continued its conference dominance with a 169, followed by Palmyra-Eagle with a 181, Big Foot with a 186, Parkview with a 202, Beloit Turner with a 207 and Brodhead with a 232.

Bauer led the way with a 42, followed by Wolski with a 44, Lentz with a 47, Larsen with a 53 and Sharpe with a 54.

Big Foot was back in action Thursday afternoon with another RVC mini meet, this time at the Evergreen Golf Course, Elkhorn. The Chiefs will compete in the Abbey Springs Invitational Monday, May 11.
