Leaving their mark

      The Elkhorn Area High School gymnastics team recently made it in the school’s history books by breaking the school record with a score of 139.375 against Jefferson, beating the previous scoring record for EAHS of 137.9. Team members include, from the left (front) Brianna Taylor, Becca Wheeler, Tapanga Summerville, A.C. Jorgensen, Ruby Kuchkowski, (back) Asia Peterson, Megan Yanko, Reaghan Spaid, Marlie Lockhart, Casandra Jauregui, Alyssa Berryhill, Celeste Kaczmarek, Kailei West and Khiara Rhone. Assistant coach Tammy Sterken said they’ve been adding new skills and tweaking routines to find the right combination. “I’m so happy that it is finally coming together.
