There is no doubt the Elkhorn Area High School boys swim team ended its season on a high note.
The Elks finished fifth Feb. 16 in the WIAA Division 2 State Meet at the University of Wisconsin Natatorium in Madison. The top-five finish marks the highest finish ever for the program.
“I think the boys did a fantastic job,” Elks coach Jamie Richardson said. “It was a fun evening. We had so many people in the events. We were always up on our feet and ready to cheer for the next person competing,
“We had a lot of fans supporting us. It was a fun atmosphere all night long.”
