The Elks finished with 15 steals and routed Verona 72-39 Feb. 3 in a non-conference boys high school basketball game at Elkhorn.
Elkhorn won 61-45 Feb. 1 in a Southern Lakes Conference game at Badger, and won 60-57 Jan. 30 in a SLC game at home against Westosha Central.
“We played really well and dominated the game,” coach Josh Skatrud said of the Elks’ win over Verona. “We had them pretty frazzled. Lots of guys contributed. I was worried we were going to be a little flat, and that was not the case at all.”
The Elks (11-6, 7-3 SLC) led Verona (9-9) 40-17 at halftime, and outscored the Wildcats 32-22 in the second half.
