Elkhorn built a comfortable lead in the first half and beat the Wolverines 52-35 Jan. 26 in a Southern Lakes Conference boys high school basketball game at Waterford.
“It was a nice bounce back after a tough three-game losing streak,” Elks coach Josh Skatrud said of the win against Waterford. “Our defense was pretty good for most of the game.
“We were able to fluster them with our press. We did not shoot the ball particularly well from 3-point range, but had a lot of success attacking the basket around the rim.”
