The Elkhorn Area High School volleyball team beat Wilmot in five sets Sept. 7 in a Southern Lakes Conference dual meet at Elkhorn.
The Elks played a SLC dual meet last Tuesday at Waterford, and played in an invitational Saturday at Mayville that included Johnson Creek, Waukesha North and Wautoma.
“I am very proud of all the girls,” Elks coach Justin Diderrich said. “My leaders stepped up, my sophomores are growing up and this is our first conference win, with many more to come. We are learning how to win.”
The Elks won the first match 25-22 and Wilmot won the second 26-24. Wilmot won the third match 25-12 before Elkhorn won the fourth match 25-20 and the fifth match 15-13.
Adrienne Bain finished with 21 digs, and Sarah Rychlak tallied 16.
Kate Passler tallied 11 kills and Morgan Hunter finished with seven. Sarah Rychlak served four aces.
