The Elks won two matches in both the singles and doubles flights and beat Big Foot 4-3 Sept. 5 in a non-conference girls high school tennis dual meet at Walworth.
The Elks lost 7-0 Sept. 7 in a Southern Lakes Conference dual meet at Union Grove.
Elkhorn plays Westosha Central today in a SLC dual meet at Paddock Lake, and plays Monday at Burlington in a SLC dual meet.
Against Big Foot, the Elks’ Kendall Birbaum beat Hannah Schmidt 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles and Leesa Sesing defeated Keaton Sperling 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
In doubles competition, Elkhorn’s Madison Page and Madison Trost beat Big Foot’s Sam Hartwig and Hannah Palmer in three sets.
Page and Trost lost the first set 6-2 before winning the second set 7-6 and the third 10-7.
Sophie Timmer and Abby Cook beat Big Foot’s Claire Beyers and Nakita Jones 6-3, 7-6 at No. 3 doubles.
Elkhorn’s Gabby Richardson took Big Foot’s Clare Heckert to three sets at No. 1 singles. Heckert won the first set 6-1 before Richardson won the second set 6-3. Heckert won the third set 10-5.
