Ronica Fuller tied for ninth in the vault and helped the Elkhorn Area High School gymnastics team to an eight-place finish Feb. 13 in the Robert Bradley Invite at Whitefish Bay High School.
The Elks competed Tuesday in a non-conference dual meet at Janesville Parker and compete Saturday in the Southern Lakes Conference Meet at Burlington.
The Elks competed in the White Division at Whitefish Bay.
“Whitefish Bay is always a fun meet,’ Elks assistant coach Amanda Lockhart said. “The girls get to see a lot of different teams from around the state.”
Fuller scored 8.4 on vault and narrowly missed a medal, according to Lockhart. Oshkosh Combined’s Theresa Richards won the event (9.225). Elkhorn’s Madison Neinfeldt scored 8.1 and finished 20th.
Cameron Jacobson finished 12th in the floor exercise (8.075). Port Washington’s Danielle O’Donnell won the event (8.6). Fuller finished 21st (7.45).
Cameron Jacobson finished 17th on the balance beam (7.275). Wisconsin Rapids’ Tia Dorshorst won the event. Hayley Mogensen finished 23rd (6.875).
“The girls are becoming more consistent and confident on beam, which is important going into conference and sectionals,” Lockhart said.
Neinfeldt finished 17th (7.25) and Jacobson 18th (7.075) on the uneven bars. Dorshorst won the event (9.050).
Neinfeldt finished 13th in the all-around (29.55). Richards won the all-around with a score of 34.925. Fuller finished 15th (28.925).
“Madison had a really solid meet, earning her highest all around score all season,” Lockhart said.
Port Washington won the White Division with a team score of 129.600. Elkhorn scored 114.075.
