Football team qualifies for postseason play after beating Brodhead-Juda last week

The first item on the East Troy High School football team’s 2018 bucket list has been completed.
For the fourth straight season, the Trojans will play in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association postseason after a hard-fought 35-21 Rock Valley Conference victory Sept. 21 at Brodhead-Juda.
The win improved the Chiefs to 5-1 with three games remaining. Teams will a better than .500 conference record are guaranteed a berth.
“Qualifying for the playoffs is a goal every year, so it feels good,” East Troy coach Jeff Crandall said. “This makes four straight years for the seniors, which is great for them.”

The East Troy High School homecoming game is tonight. Kick-off is 7 p.m. The school is hosting a tailgate party at 5 p.m. at Trojan Stadium.
