Boys crush Clinton in lopsided game

Trojans outscore Cougars nearly 2 to 1

It was only a matter of time before the East Troy High School boys basketball team broke out offensively.

Unfortunately for host Clinton, that moment came last Thursday night.

The Trojans exploded for a 68-point first half and rolled to a 101-55 Rock Valley Conference victory to improve to 4-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

East Troy was 14-for-28 from behind the 3-point arc for the game.

“We made some shots,” East Troy coach Darryl Rayfield said. “We finally made some shots and got in transition. We had good balance. The combination of everybody making shots (was the key).”
