East Troy has eight athletes named to All-Rock Valley teams

The East Troy High School baseball and softball squads combined to land nine players on All-Rock Valley Conference North Division teams last week.
Both had four players selected by conference coaches.
The East Troy softball team placed three on second-team, as freshman pitcher Sophia Heimos, junior catcher Kaitlyn O’Connell and senior infielder Vanessa Dingman were selected.
Also chosen were Chloe Jakscht and Hunter Scheel, who were named honorable mention.
East Troy was 10-11 this spring, including a 6-8 mark in the RVC.
McFarland, which won the North Division title at 15-1 dominated the all-conference teams, as the Spartans placed six girls on the first team, including co-Players of the Year, Lexi Kemnitzer and Jenna Quelle.
Spartans’ head coach Dave Halverson was named Coach of the Year.
In the South Division, Beloit Turner’s Kaitlyn Packard was voted Player of the Year.
On the baseball diamond, the Trojans landed two players each on second team and honorable mention.
Junior infielder Jon Ciriacks and senior utility player Nicholas Ruffalo were named to the second team. Senior Nick Bertschinger and sophomore Logan Mitchell both were honorable mention selections.
North Division champion Jefferson, which won the league title at 14-2, landed sophomore Ian Drays as Player of the Year and Fetherston as Coach of the Year.
Beloit Turner swept the South Division main honors, as Nate Loomis and Ethan Burns were named co-Players of the Year and Jeff Clowes was voted Coach of the Year.
