East Troy put its first victory of the spring on the board April 21 with a 9-4 win at Clinton that was sandwiched between a pair of RVC losses.

The Trojans fell 10-5 Monday at Brodhead and opened the week with a 7-6 setback April 19 to visiting Big Foot.

Statistics and details from Monday’s contest were unavailable.

East Troy broke a 2-2 tie in the win over Clinton with two runs in the third inning, and then iced things with a four-run seventh.

Nick Bertschinger led the Trojans with two hits and two runs scored. Bertschinger also picked up the win, as he allowed seven walks and struck out three in five innings. Brandon Sullivan worked two innings, walked one and struck out one.

Nick Ruffalo had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI to lead East Troy in the loss to Big Foot. Logan Mitchell added two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Ruffalo took the complete-game loss, as he walked four and struck out eight.
