Runners compete in Verona

The East Troy boys and girls cross country teams spent Saturday morning at the Verona Invitational.

East Troy’s girls were 21st overall with 525 points. Sun Prairie won the team title with 93 points, followed by Middleton with 111, Madison Memorial with 122, Madison West with 123 and La Crosse Aquinas with 20.

Junior Maddie Rosin led the Trojans in 41st (22:08). Following her to the finish line were freshman Morgan Bartlett, 67th (22:51); junior Brianna Fridley, 117th (24:40); junior Kayla Casper, 146th (25:46); sophomore Kelly Flynn, 154th (26:24); junior Heather Vivian, 155th (26:24); and freshman Kaylee McFarland, 161st (26:36).

East Troy’s boys finished 23rd with 677 points. Madison LaFollette won the overall team title with 49 points, followed by Madison Memorial with 90, Madison West with 94, Middleton with 112 and Verona with 164.

Junior Nolan Dallas led the Trojans in 111th (19:31), followed by freshman Nathan Fox, 115th (19:34); freshman Jacob Smith, 127th (20:00); senior Charlie Ward, 158th (21:07); junior Allen Herrell, 166th (22:30); senior Clark Hudec, 169th (23:08); and senior Spencer Williams, 170th (24:12).

East Troy hosted its own 15-team invitational Thursday afternoon.
