The East Troy girls basketball team held a six-point lead after the first quarter Monday night and made that stand up in a 43-38 win visiting Palmyra-Eagle.
East Troy improved to 2-9 overall.
Palmyra cut the deficit to 19-16 by halftime. Both teams scored 13 points in the third quarter, followed by an 11-9 advantage by East Troy in the fourth that helped the Trojans seal the victory.
Katrina Santos led the Trojans with 15 points, followed by Jenna Hodges with nine and Brianna Casper with seven.
East Troy traveled to Beloit Turner Tuesday night and will host Whitewater, ranked No. 2 in Division 3, Friday night.
