Comets finish season 3-20

The season ended for the Delavan-Darien High School girls’ basketball team Feb. 27 when the Comets lost to Fort Atkinson in Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association regional action.
The Comets lost 56-32 to finish their season with a 3-20 record.
Offensively the Comets never found their rhythm, shooting 11 of 38 from the field including two of 11 from the three-point line.
It was a 32-12 halftime score in favor of the Blackhawks – too much of a deficit for the Comets to overcome in the second half when they scored 20 points.
Kylie Collins led the Comets with 14 points and two steals.
Amanda McLernon added seven points and two steals, and Alex Lewis had five points and Megan Butke added four points.
