Letter: Obama did more than ‘nothing’

It’s important to understand that our weak economy is the direct result of Obama Administration policies.  It’s true that President Obama took office as a deep recession was coming to an end.  But historically a deep recession is followed by a strong recovery.  The Obama Administration understood this and they even put out a chart that predicted unemployment would fall to less than 6% by now if they did NOTHING.

 

Unfortunately for all of us, they did not do NOTHING.  They did Stimulus.  They did ObamaCare.  They did Dodd-Frank financial “reform”.  They did increased bureaucratic regulation. They did crony capitalism (Solyndra).  They did a huge expansion of annual deficit spending. They vetoed the Keystone Pipeline which would have brought in abundant energy from our friends in Canada.  And for icing on the cake, they engaged in a constant stream of anti-business rhetoric.

 

Four years later, with Election Day nearly upon us, we have a stagnant economy, high unemployment, inflated prices for food and gas, and $16 trillion in debt.  Barack Obama, you did build that!
