Porfirio Benavides, 82, of Milwaukee, passed to eternal life Feb. 28, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
He was born in Dilly, Texas, on March 18, 1941, to Porfirio and Jenoviva (Salas) Benavides. He married Maria (Garcia) on March 5, 1960, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Delavan and she preceded him in death on Nov. 30, 2010.
He is survived by his sons, Porfirio Jr. and Jack (Judy) Benavides. Also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria; and daughter, Rosie Benavides.
Visitation was March 7 at Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home-Betzer Chapel (118 South 2nd Street, Delavan). Private interment Calvary Cemetery, Racine. Lazarczyk Family Funeral Homes is serving the family.
