Irene M. Schmuck, 84, of Clinton, formerly of Sharon, passed away Feb. 23, 2024, at Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit.
A visitation for Irene will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth.
Irene was born on June 5, 1939, in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of Alfred and Melinda (Thurnau) Glade. As a child she attended St Matthew’s Lutheran School in Palatine, Illinois, followed by Sharon Community School in Sharon.
On Oct. 12, 1957, she was united in marriage to Fred W. Schmuck Jr. in Sharon Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in 1998. Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Irene also loved the time she spent at Sharon Elementary as a teachers aide and school bus driver.
Irene is survived by her children, Kathy (Ralph) Keck of Elkhorn, Kim (Russ) Niday of Ocala, Florida, and Kevin Schmuck of Allen’s Grove; five grandchildren, Nick Keck (Amber Anclam), Jeni (Eric) Betts, Katelyn Niday, Skyler Schmuck and Kolby Schmuck; two great grandchildren, Brynlee and Colton Keck; two brothers, Gerald (Connie) Glade and Wilfred (Sally) Glade; brother-in-law, Ralph Bollinger; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Irene is also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kellie Schutt, and her sister, Anna Lee Bollinger.
The family would like to thank the Willowick Assisted Living and staff as well as Beloit Memorial Hospital medical team for all of the wonderful care and support they gave to Irene.
