David L. Krause was born Feb. 18, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Lester D. and Lucille M. (Kirsling) Krause.
He passed away Jan. 25, 2024, in Walworth.
David was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #23 for over 60 years. He was a former apprentice Instructor and actively worked as a pipefitter for local contractors for 41 years, before retiring in 2002.
He also served his country as a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Dave married the love of his life, Lynn Jacobs on Sept. 12, 1964, in Sharon. One of his most cherished past-times was snowmobiling in the Michigan U.P. with family and friends.
David is survived by his son, Steven; grandson, Tucker; sister, Janet Krause; niece, Brooke Yunker; and nephews, Michael (Sharee) Yunker, Aaron (Jen) Yunker, and Grant (Pooja) Yunker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn; his parents, Lester and Lucille; sisters, Marie Graf and Barbara Krause; and niece, Lisa Graf.
A celebration of David’s life will take place on Saturday, March 2, from 2 until 5 p.m. at the Roscoe VFW Post 2955, 11385 2nd St, Roscoe, Illinois. Friends and family are invited to attend. A private family burial took place at North Sharon Cemetery.
