Margaret Stella Pratt passed away peacefully Aug. 23, 2023, with the love of her family by her side.
Margaret was born in Milwaukee on March 24, 1926, to William and Elizabeth (Bracker) O’Donell.
She lived most of her life in Elkhorn and moved to Glen Ellyn, Illinois, in October 2004, to be close to her family. She worked at Trostel in Lake Geneva for 18 years followed by working an additional 23 years as a dietician for Lakeland Hospital where she eventually retired.
She is a lifetime member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Elkhorn. She was married to Robert Pratt on Oct. 8, 1949.
She will be missed by her daughter, Elizabeth “Bette” (Louis) Michael; grandchildren, Scott Michael, Daniel (Michelle) Michael, Jacqueline “Jackie” Michael, Jennifer (Ralph) Lamas; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Robert, Nicholas, Ryan, Bennett, Avery; one great-great grandchild, Jackson; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, William and Elizabeth; brothers, Bernie and Bill; infant son, Joseph Fremon Dorn; and great-grandchild, Matthew.
Private services will be held in Wheaton, Illinois.
