KEITH RUCKS

Keith A. Rucks, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 25, 2021, in Milwaukee.

He was born on Jan. 19, 1958, in Elkhorn, to Ervin F. and Betty J. Rucks of East Jefferson Street.

Keith served our great country in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1980 as a cannon crewman and was honorably discharged as a SP4. He believed Jell-O should and could be a part of at least one meal a day, which isn’t as common of a belief as you’d think, especially when you went outside of the family and tried to have Jell-O be taken seriously at a meal.

He will be lovingly remembered and survived by his mother, Betty J. Rucks of Elkhorn; five siblings, Cheryl Koc of Greendale, Laurene (Martin) Schutte of Oak Creek, Dennis Rucks of Elkhorn, Gary Rucks of California, and Jerry (Gina) Rucks of California; and his nieces and nephew, Alana (Mark) Mueller of Milwaukee, Joshua Koc of New Berlin, Kristy Doyle and her son Dominick Schutte Doyle of Georgia, Danielle (Brian) Taylor of California, Katherine Rucks of Washington, and Sydni Rucks of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin F. Rucks, aunts, uncles and a cousin.

Keith had great perseverance when life had its hard times to get through and out of, but he always did so and the Milwaukee VA was always there for him. His family would like to thank the Milwaukee VA and its external locations in the city, for the unwavering support they gifted him with for so many years that only they could do for a veteran.

A private military funeral ceremony with honors will be held at a later date at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, where he will be interred.
