Carol D. Czarnecki (nee Chybowski), 85, of East Troy, found peace on a chilly Oct. 28, 2021, evening, surrounded by the warmth of family, lulled to eternal slumber by the music she loved. She went to join her husband and soulmate of 60 years, John.
Her sassy spirit and love of her family, shopping, cooking, traveling and the holidays was what filled the span of her years with laughter, joy and grace. She was the anchor for her family whom she left a legacy of Christmas traditions, polka dancing, Polish food, and a great love of her Lord.
Carol is survived by her children, Dale (June), June (Joe) Mesler, Gary (Mary), Neil (Kellie); 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Christine Malicki; brother, Ken Chybowski; sisters-in-law, Jeanne (Jim) Kuhn, Sylvia Woida, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Carol was further preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherry; and a son, Duane.
A memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, Nov. 6, at Legacy Funeral Services, 2974 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the family as donations will be made in Carol’s name to her favorite charities.
