Constance “Connie” Elizabeth Dalton, 91, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away June 5, 2021, at her home in Delavan.
She was born in Holyoke, Mass., on Sept. 7, 1929. She was the daughter of James and Mary Joyce. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary, James and Ruth Ann, and is survived by her brother, Bill.
Connie was a graduate from Marymount College in New York. While her husband served in the Korean War, she was a substitute teacher who enjoyed teaching.
She and her husband Arthur had nine children: Connie Ann, Mary Ellen Milantoni, Arthur (Ginger) Dalton, Elizabeth Dalton, Susan (Jim) Dickinson, Kathryn(Tim) Dutcher, Madeline (Paul) Malone, Christopher (Lisa) Dalton, and Paul (Gabi) Dalton. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Connie was an extraordinary person with a keen sense of humor. She enjoyed time with her family. She loved traveling, good food and wine and always had room for sweets. Connie was strong in her faith and a devout Catholic who enjoyed going to Mass regularly. She was able to celebrate life to the fullest these past two years, enjoying time with family on the lake, boating and watching beautiful sunsets. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
She touched the lives of many people and will be dearly missed by family, friends and all those who knew her.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 14, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fontana. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
