Edith “Edie” G. Johnson, 77, of East Troy, found peace after a long courageous fight with a number of illnesses. She was born in Milwaukee.
Edie married her first husband William also in Milwaukee. She relocated to East Troy and was a longtime resident.
Edie was a dedicated treasurer of the condo association, a great cook and baker. She would make meals for any gathering and whip up chicken soup for anyone who was sick. Her eclair cake was everyone’s favorite.
She had an amazing sense of humor even when she was so sick she could still laugh, she was a fighter full of strength.
Edie loved playing cribbage with her son, Scott, playing bingo and cards with her friends, and shopping with her daughter, Victoria, but her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren who will miss her very much.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Loni); daughter, Victoria (Mike); grandchildren, Ryan, Brady (Shelby), Kaylan, Preston, Spencer; step-grandchildren, Gunnar, Olivia, Layla and Amelia; step-great-grandson, Greysun; brothers, Tom (Marlene) Lamb, Don (Ina) Lamb; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, William, and a brother who was only 9 years old.
A memorial celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Friday, April 30, at East Troy Bible Church, 2660 North St. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the service at the church.
