Vivian M. Racine, 101, longtime resident of Elkhorn, and Evergreen Park, Illinois, passed to eternal life on March 1, 2021, at her son’s residence in Lake Geneva.
She was born on May 14, 1919, in Joliet, Illinois, to Thomas and Lillian (Emanualson) Powers. She married Lester J. Racine on Jan. 7, 1939, at St. Casmir Catholic Church in Chicago.
Vivian is survived by her son, Wayne (Jeanne) Racine; grandchildren, Wayne Thomas Racine, Patricia Jean Racine and Michael Joseph (Davina) Racine; great-grandchildren, Jenna Nicole Terrell, Emma Michelle Terrell, Ethan Michael Racine and Alex Joseph Racine.
She is a retired employee of Spiegel Catalog Company.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 8 at Steinke-Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at noon with the Rev. Bob Kamps of Como Community Church officiating. Private interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
