Gale W. Simes, 93, of Elkhorn, passed away Feb. 14, 2021, at Aurora Summit Medical Center.
He was born May 16, 1927, in Milwaukee to the late Fred and Minnie (Redlund) Simes. Gale served in the United States Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Armstrong on Oct. 6, 1951, in Whitewater. Gale was a member of the Briggs Road Evangelical Free Church of Elkhorn.
Gale is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Dorothy; their four sons, Doug (Lynn) Simes of Elkhorn, Derf Simes of Florida, Scott Simes of Elkhorn, and Mark (Kathy) Simes of Hayward; five grandchildren, Kristin (Joe), Alicia (Ryan), Matt (Katie), Nick (Kacy) and Kimberly (Dick); and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kinsley, Chase, Taylor and Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Sylvia, Glenna, Lance, Virginia and his twin brother, Dale; and daughter-in-law, Natalie Simes.
