Michael J. Poivey was born March 7, 1950, in Rockford, Ill., to James A. and Virginia (Goerlitz) Poivey. He passed away on Dec. 25, 2020, at Vintage on The Ponds in Delavan.
Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and dog father. He loved his family and friends, his three beautiful dogs, his house, playing golf, boating, music, the Cubs and the Bears. He was a great salesman, manager, husband and father. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Denise P. (Farren), whom he married on July 26, 1980, in Kansas City, Missouri; his daughter, Hanna (Patrick) Begley; and grandchildren, Harrison, Isabella and Will.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
