David Jerome Haas, 82, peacefully went to be with his Lord Jesus on Nov. 27, 2020.
He was born October 4, 1938 in Clinton, Minnesota, to the late Henry and Rhobie Haas. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Helen Mikkelson, Richard, Robert, Rholene Salisbury, Henry and Donald. His surviving sisters are Naurine Stenzel of Rockton, Illinois and Donna Doll of Ravensdale, Washington.

He married Grace Jorgenson on Aug. 1, 1959 at Artichoke Lake Baptist Church in Correll, Minnesota. They made their home in Harvard, Illinois, before relocating to Plano, Illinois in 1976. The unconditional love they demonstrated for each other and their family throughout their years together was a great example to others. He enjoyed time spent with a large extended family, including numerous family reunions and opportunities to travel and vacation together. His unassuming demeanor, friendly nature and good sense of humor was enjoyed by all. His laugh was infectious and a source of joy.
Due to COVID-related restrictions on travel and group gatherings, a memorial service will be held at a future date, to be determined.
Memorials may be directed to Grace Fellowship Church in Maple Park, or to Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora.
