Berneice R. Hanson, 93, of Delavan, passed away on Nov. 25, 2020, at Mercy Walworth Hospital.
She was born in Elkhorn on March 26, 1927, to Robert and Claribel (Bellman) Folkers. She graduated from Delavan High School. Berneice was united in marriage to Laverne Hanson on February 4, 1976. He passed away on July 7, 2003.
She was a dental assistant for many years with Dr. Jacobson. She was an active member of Delavan United Methodist Church.
Berneice was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, gardener and loved telling jokes. She loved spending winters in Florida and also was involved with Sweet Adelines.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janet Mohr, of Delavan, and Cheryl (Bill Wiswell) Baker, of Elkhorn; four grandchildren, Erica (Chris) Stolarski, Steven (Demetra Condos) Mohr, Erin (John) Sukala and Dustin (Dina) Baker; five great-grandchildren, Mia, Walter, Maddie, Dylan and Trevor; a brother, Jerry (Donna) Folkers; and nephews, Kurt (Wendy) Folkers, and Eric Folkers.
Berneice is preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Jim Mohr; and her husband, Laverne.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
