MARY JANE ADLER

Mary Jane Pfeil Adler, 74, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at Lakeland Health Care Center after a decades long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

She was born Feb. 19, 1946 in Elkhorn, to the late Richard and Mary (Brady) Pfeil. After losing her mother at an early age she was blessed to find another in former Elkhorn teacher Patricia (Roche) Pfeil.

Mary Jane and her four siblings (Janet Catherine Jensen – recently deceased, Susan Pfeil, Dick Pfeil and Kirk Pfeil) grew up in Elkhorn on Geneva Street. As a child Mary Jane loved horses and dogs and brought home every stray animal she came across. She passed her great love for animals on to her daughter, Amy. Mary Jane’s most cherished role was that of mother for which her daughter is eternally grateful.

Her ashes will be interred in Elkhorn with her mother Mary Brady Pfeil in a private family ceremony.

The family is immensely grateful to the staff of the nursing home at Lakeland Health Center who provided such wonderful care to Mary over the years. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be sent to Lakeland Health Care Center, 1922 County Rd. NN, Elkhorn, WI 53121 in memory of Mary Jane Pfeil Adler.

Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory completed arrangements.
